"Singing For Joy"

Pastor Dunbar bases today's sermon on the reading from Zephaniah 3: 14-20. As Christians, we need to be reminded to rejoice in our Lord as we celebrate the birth of Jesus and remember that God sent His son to die for us and give us eternal life.

Violent Night, Holy Night

Pastor Jeff shares how we sing Christmas carols, specifically Silent Night, but the night that Jesus was born was everything but. The enemy has been trying to kill Him since day one and he is still trying, even more so this Christmas season. For more videos or information on the ministry, visit www.ongoodground.org

TEACHING - How & Why We Give (Biblical Goving) 12-15-16 (SESS 6 - FINAL)

The final video in a 6 part series... A re-examination of the issue of Biblical giving. So much is said and taught on this important issue, and it is very needful that we fully understand what the Word of God teaches on this matter in truth. This week we continued to look at offerings and their purpose and functions - Fellowship Offerings, Freewill Offerings, etc. We We are trying to teach this study in a "marathon" fashion, working swiftly through the course of the study. We believe you will find this very uplifting and inspirational, as well as deeply educational.

Peace on Earth

Peace is a period of harmony between different social groups that is characterized by lack of violence or conflict behaviors, and the freedom from fear of violence.

The ideal of peace can also be conceptualized as the comprehensive implementation of human rights (civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights); this should, among other purposes, ensure the satisfaction of basic human needs, such as positive personal and social identity, sense of control, security, (social) justice, wellbeing, a safe environment, and access to adequate food and shelter.

Boko Haram promotes a version of Islam which makes it "haram", or forbidden, for Muslims to take part in any political or social activity associated with Western society. a loose translation means "Western education is forbidden".

This includes voting in elections, wearing shirts and trousers or receiving a secular education.

Boko Haram regards the Nigerian state as being run by nonbelievers, even when the country had a Muslim president and it has extended its military campaign by targeting neighbouring states.

Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isa 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Isa 26:12 LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us:
