Mike Goodwin has explained the hilarious words that southerners totally made up. The funnyman dropped some knowledge and let others in on the words that people in the South have made up, and demonstrated how those new words work. The United States of America is a vast country, stretching from the Atlantic on the east to the Pacific on the West. In between are many different landscapes, topographies and cultures. If you prefer warm, muggy weather, there are regions of the country for you. However, if you, for whatever reason, are a cold-weather person and would enjoy experiencing those conditions for the majority of the year, several states in the country would meet that criterion.

Now, because the United States is so large, not everyone sounds and talks the same. For instance, an individual from San Antonio, Texas, and one from Boston, Massachusetts, will sound dramatically different from one another. Those two people will even have different words and phrases used to describe the same thing. In some cases, regions may even create their own words.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Mike mentioned some of the words people from the South have coined. He then, in hilarious fashion, demonstrated how these words are used in a conversation, which he knows full well from his childhood.

“One thing about southerners, we have the unique ability to just make up words,” he said. “We say words like “finto” and “fixin.” “Whathadhappenedwas,” that’s one word right there. That’s one word.”

Later in the clip, he shared his favorite made-up word used by southerners, one that he had heard his mother use frequently growing up.

“It’s five syllables, one word: whatchanotgonedo,” he said. “My mother said that my entire life. My mother said stuff like, ‘Whatchanotgonedo is keep running in and out of this house. That’s whatchanotgonedo. Whatchanotgonedo is stand in front of that refrigerator and hold that door open, little boy.’”

Comedian Dustin Nickerson explained why he is somehow both old and young at the same time. The popular funnyman stated that, given his age, he is in a transitional phase of his life, making him a little bit old while also still being somewhat young. Does anyone enjoy getting older? Of course, nearly everyone would answer that with an emphatic no. As far as most people are concerned, our calendars are only 364 days, with their birthdays somehow never making it into the calendar. Those dates are nothing more than an in-your-face reminder that you are getting older. No one wants that.

While we may not like or enjoy our birthdays, they are an inevitable part of life. They are going to happen whether we like it or not. Understanding that aging is an unavoidable process that everyone experiences, why not make the most of it? What other choice do we really have? We all get older every year, every day, every minute and every second.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Dustin mentioned that being in his 30s, he is at a point in his life where he’s not really young but he’s not too terribly old, either. He is, as he states, in a transitional phase. He has found himself exhibiting a mix of both kinds of behavior – that of an older person and that of an individual in a younger age bracket.

“I’m in my 30s,” he said. “Thirties is not old. However, it is the start of old. I got a little bit of young in me, and a little bit of old. I’m in transition, alright? I still get excited about concerts. I also get excited about Kohl’s Cash.”

Later in the clip, he hilariously admonishes a buddy for doing something that he knew he shouldn’t have been doing at his age. His friend mentioned that he was unable to play basketball this week because he threw out his back while folding a sheet.

“I was like, ‘Come on, you’re 35, you know you can’t be doing that by yourself anymore,’” he said. ‘You free-soloed a sheet? Are you insane?’”

Psalm 90:10 “The measure of our life is 70 years; and if through strength it may be 80 years, its pride is only trouble and sorrow, for it comes to an end quickly and we are quickly gone.”

The odds are likely pretty good that we could all eat more vegetables. Put down the sandwich or that tasty, sweet treat and pick up a salad instead. Sure, theoretically, that sounds like good, sound and healthy advice. But when it comes to actually practicing that, how many of us are going to do that? Be honest, I won’t tell anyone.

Of course, some vegetables are more appealing and appetizing than others. What kind of a person would willingly choose to eat an artichoke, a mushroom, a beet or an onion? I understand that tastes and preferences are different, but eating an onion? Seriously? Do some people just enjoy the horrible taste and having bad breath all day?

A clip posted on YouTube features a comedian demonstrating the various ways people chow down on one of the best-tasting and most appetizing vegetables: corn. He may be exaggerating some aspects of how individuals eat an ear of corn, but not by much. We all know people who eat corn as shown in the video. Perhaps you might even spot your particular corn-eating method.

The first one shown is likely the most hilarious and one of the most common: the speed racer.

“If you ain’t first, you’re last,” he says. “Time me, Rick! Done! Think I broke a record and a crown.”

The video also shows the dutiful father slicing off the kernels of corn for their child, who, after the parent goes through all that trouble, eats exactly one bite of corn and states they’ve had their fill of the vegetable.

While all the corn-eating methods shown are possible options, the one I cannot and will not get behind is the one where the corn is slathered in butter. My corn will never have butter on it. Salt and pepper, sure. But never butter.

America’s Got Talent has featured many unexpected performers over the years; however, this little boy will leave you in awe of his comical skills for such a young age. He begins in a personal interview, sharing that his name is Nathan and he is six years old, which is basically seven or eight. 

You see a clip of Nathan with his little sister, pregnant mother, and father. They are a precious family. Nathan tells how he brought a good luck charm and gets ready to go on the stage. As he goes out, he shares how he is nervous and excited.

The crowd cheers as he enters the stage. As he confidently introduces himself, the judges and crowd instantly love him. He says instead of getting a million dollars, he would like a million Legos if he wins, and the audience laughs. 

He kicks off his comedy bit, sharing how he has ADHD, and as he explains what it is, he compliments someone in the crowd’s shirt. He says that he knows a lot about girls and how they often say one thing but mean another. He tells the crowd that his “mom, for instance, tells him to call her mom, and he has found out that is not even her real name.”

He makes hysterical sounds, and every judge loves him, and they give him 4 yeses. Nathan and his family are elated! This little boy will bring you immense joy and leave you completely charmed by his fun personality and honesty. He is so brave and really impresses the judges!!

Tim Hawkins sang the ultimate guide for what husbands shouldn’t say – ever. The popular funnyman covered nearly every phrase that no husband should utter to their wives under any circumstances. Marriage is one of the most challenging things anyone will ever undertake. It’s a close relationship between two very flawed and very different individuals. While those two individuals may agree on the big, important things in life, that agreement will not extend to every topic and subject. Now, of course, those differences of opinion will sometimes lead to arguments, and some may even become heated at times.

But that’s when it’s essential to come to some compromise, an agreement that suits both parties in some form or fashion. That’s how husbands and wives should work out their problems, through communication and compromise. However, while communication and talking to one’s spouse is necessary for a healthy marriage relationship, there are still some things that husbands should never, under any circumstances, say to their wives.

“I was working,” he said. “Sitting, eating lunch, and this couple sits down, and we start talking. I’m like, ‘I’m Nate.’ The guy’s, like, I’m John. This is my wife, Jane.’ And they were, their last name was Doe. So, it was John and Jane Doe.”

Later in the video, Nate finally realized that those may not have been their real names.

“But to earlier this year, I’m 35,” he added. “I’m driving, and I’m thinking about John and Jane Doe. You know, I was like, ‘I bet they were lying to me about that.’ That’s how long it took – 20 years – for me to catch on to a joke they wouldn’t remember saying.”

“Come up with some better board games, man. Horrible board games growing up,” Tim said. “Because board games lie to you. You know, like, on the board of the game, it’ll tell you the name, and it’ll have a description. It’s always a lie.”

You never knew what he was going to do, but you could always bet it was going to be comedic gold, and that was usually the case.

The entire time this is happening, Carol stands just to the right of Tim. She is clearly unsure about what to do and how to respond while Tim is on the phone with his father. How do you react to something like this when the situation becomes incredibly awkward?

Eventually, Carol, knowing she is about to laugh, disappears from the screen but returns a few seconds later. Her momentary disappearance did not help much, as she burst into laughter soon after returning.

Moses’s stand-up comedy debut is full of laughs and plenty of eye rolls. The beloved biblical character took to the stage, grabbed the microphone and told one hilariously, clever and corny joke after another. Additionally, the stories in the Bible are about people, regular, everyday people like you and me. Sure, they may have done some incredible and jaw-dropping things with God’s help. However, they were still ordinary, average people who had their weaknesses and failures, just like the rest of us. They also assuredly had a sense of humor and enjoyed laughing whenever possible. A clip posted on YouTube envisions what it would be like if Moses were to try his hand at stand-up comedy.

The Old Testament figure tells a handful of truly hilarious and corny jokes, perfectly incorporating elements of his experiences, as recorded in the Bible. Moses will have you laughing and rolling your eyes at the same time.

“What time of day did God create Adam?” Moses asks his small audience. “Just before eve.”

After a few laughs and some awkward silence, Moses quickly moves on to another joke.

“How do we know the Israelites were a headache? You guys are not even trying?” An exasperated Moses says to his audience. “Because Moses took two tablets.”

Next, the person who led God’s people out of slavery in Egypt shared a joke about everyone’s favorite drink: coffee.

“How does Moses make coffee? He brews it,” Moses states.

Is there anything better than eating? Our collective enjoyment and love of eating might be one of the few things that we can all agree on, even in these highly polarized, divisive times. Some people will eat anything, while others are more particular and choosier about what they put in their mouths. Soon after that, having completed breakfast, Tim called his children into the kitchen to enjoy the meal he had made for them. He then went into his office to get some work done as his children ate. Moments later, the quiet, serene moment was utterly ruined.  

“Ten seconds later, I hear this: AHHHH!” ‘What’s wrong? ‘There’s pulp in the orange juice! Pulp! You got the orange juice with pulp in it!’”

Needless to say, Tim’s children were not pleased with his selection of orange juice.

The popular funnyman has been told by his better half that he’s not the best listener in the world, but he believes otherwise. This can lead to disagreements and even heated arguments, at times. That’s why, especially during instances of disagreement, it is vital to communicate clearly and listen to one another. However, for some, listening can be an issue, and Nate has been accused of not being the most outstanding listener.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Nate mentioned how his wife of 17 years has told him continually that he’s not a good listener. Hilariously, he admits that he’s heard her every time she’s told him that, and makes several other hysterical comments, rebutting her claim.

“And I don’t think I listen to everything,” he admitted. “But I also don’t think she says everything she thinks she says. There’s just no way. Seventeen years of marriage, you’re batting a thousand. I’m oh for? I’ve never heard anything?”

Later in the clip, Nate adds that he believes his wife does not always verbalize everything she’s thinking.

“She might say it all in her mind, but I mean, not everything makes it out of that maze up there.”

No matter what Nate says, I don’t think he’s going to win this one.

Death, as awkward and as morbid as it may sound and feel, is inevitable. Every one of us will die at one time or another. It’s an experience that all will encounter. While we’ll all experience loss and walk through the valley of the shadow of death several times during our lifetimes, there are many traditions intended to help those who have recently experienced a loss. Even though the intentions and the thoughts behind the gestures are full of love, trying to offer comfort during a time of grief and pain, they are still a little weird when you stop and think about them.

“And it’s never food that you want,” he said. “You know, it’s never, like, ‘I got you a big meat lover’s pizza!’ Which is a pretty insane thing to eat in grief.”

Later in the clip, he added how some of the dishes people will give to those grieving will come with a long list of very detailed instructions. No one wants to do all that in the immediate aftermath of a loved one’s death.

Near the end of the clip, he pointed out how someone had brought ice cream to his door, and Drew was not thrilled with the offering, letting the person know how inappropriate it was to bring it. However, he quickly learned that things are not always as they seem at first glance.

A comedian landed in Memphis, and things got weird fast. The funnyman, Zoltan Kaszas, shared what he witnessed soon after his plane touched down in the Tennessee city. Watch the short but hysterical clip to listen to the comedian explain what he and his wife experienced during their first couple of moments in Memphis, Tennessee.

Life is an unpredictable series of events. It’s often referred to as a journey, which I think is a pretty good way of describing this thing we all call life. Now, while on this journey, we’ll encounter many road closures, detours and potholes. We will go to places and meet people we would have never imagined – some good and some not so good.

Additionally, at various points along this journey, there will be instances and occurrences that catch us entirely off guard. Something will happen that we were not ready for, not even in the slightest. We won’t know how to respond other than with a look of shock and dismay. In a clip posted on YouTube, Zoltan explained that he and his wife experienced such a situation when they stepped off the plane in Memphis.

“I’ve been to Memphis,” he said. “I was excited, and then I got there, and I’m like, ‘What happened here?’ There’s nobody there. I landed; there was nobody. Have you ever landed at an airport, and you’re like, ‘I don’t know how to leave the airport!’”

He explained that he and his wife were attempting to get an Uber from the airport, but there were none available.

“We’re at the airport in Memphis,” he said. “And we landed at night, 11 p.m., which is late, but it’s not that late. We open it up, and Uber said, ‘No.’ I’ve never had that happen before. It just said, ‘There are no cars available.’”

He said that while standing outside what was basically a deserted airport, it was he, his wife, and a police officer, and later an intoxicated woman appeared out of nowhere.

Eventually, through a happenstance, he and his wife did find a cab ride, which took them away from the eerily empty Memphis airport.

Humans are not meant to live and do life by themselves. We are created to have and carry on relationships with one another. It’s by and through those relationships that we are better able to weather life’s storms. Relationships also provide us with people to celebrate life’s wins and other important milestones and occasions.

However, we all know people who are better at human interaction than others. Some people are more introverted and have a harder time making those critical connections and forming meaningful relationships. Additionally, some people are simply awkward when it comes to interacting with others, and knowing what to say and when can be a challenge.

Whether we are great with people or a tad on the more introverted side, we’ve all been a part of our fair share of awkward social interactions. In a clip posted on YouTube, Nate shared one such instance and also mentioned the hilarious way in which he immediately responded to the situation.

“Old Hickory is also named after President Andrew Jackson,” Nate said. “And I told someone that in an interview, and I said it, I’m, like, used to saying it, so I said it. And the guy stopped me, and he was, like, ‘You know what?’  He’s, like, ‘Andrew Jackson’s a bad guy.’”

How do you react to something like that when someone makes things awkward? Using humor is one way to lighten the tension, and that is exactly what Nate did.

“And I was, like, ‘Oh, we didn’t like know him or anything like that,’” Nate said. “’We didn’t move there because we were fans. I’ve never been to his house.’”

Becoming a parent is a significant commitment, and not something to be taken lightly. It’s a major step in everyone’s life, which comes with numerous responsibilities and obligations. There is, without a doubt, a lot to think about before becoming a mother or a father. It will forever change your life.

While the idea of becoming a parent might seem overwhelming and intimidating, most parents would agree that it’s the best thing that has ever happened to them. Sure, a little one entering your life and house will rock your world. But no parent would trade the time spent with and the memories they’ve created with their youngsters for anything in the world.

Despite all the joy and happiness that come with being a parent, Zoltan has some fears about becoming a father. While his worries and trepidations are pretty unusual, some of what he expresses may have crossed your mind at one time or another.

“But anytime we talk about having kids, I think about the rest of the time, you know?” he said. “Like, what’s that kid going to be like, like personality-wise? I hope, like me or my wife, or a mixture of the two of us. But what if it’s a rogue? What if it’s an offshoot and we end up with, like, a winner?”

Later in the clip, he pointed out that he’s afraid his future child might become a champion and never experience losing, even while participating in high school athletics. He has fears about how this would translate to adulthood and how this person would grow up to be one of those annoying individuals who are in your face and are overly concerned about leaving a legacy.

Comedian Mike Goodwin questioned why parents ever sang this to their kids. Given the odd and absurd nature of the lyrics of this familiar tune, it is strange that more people did not raise some objections until this time. Being a parent is not easy. Moms and dads have a long list of responsibilities and obligations when it comes to their children. They are supposed to provide for their children, both financially and materially. Parents are also entrusted with teaching their children, equipping them with the knowledge and lessons to hopefully assist them throughout adolescence, adulthood and beyond. Failure to meet any of these needs could be detrimental to the child's development.

But on top of all that, parents are supposed to be their child’s protector. Moms and dads should be loving and supportive arms that children can turn to whenever they are frightened, unsure or feeling a bit anxious or overwhelmed. That’s simply part of being a parent.
