A Note from That KEVIN… 09.05.26
At midnight Friday, my songwriters collective — now roughly 36 singers, musicians and writers strong — released the first song from our new worship project: “Yesterday The Same,” featuring Alison Taylor and Jay Loreman.
This one’s been a long time coming, and we want you in on it. Three things: save it, listen to it, sing it. It’s live on Spotify and every major platform now.
This week’s edition also takes us from London to the Bronx — with a brief stop at your dinner table to defend what’s left of your meal.
London is preparing for a genuine once-in-a-millennium moment as the Bayeux Tapestry crosses the Channel for its first exhibition on British soil in nearly 1,000 years. Then we head to Arthur Avenue — perhaps the most Roman place outside Italy — for great food, remarkable history, and the families who have kept New York’s real Little Italy alive for generations.
And a heartfelt request from diners everywhere: please stop stealing my plate. If I still have three bites of veal Milanese left, I am not “working on it.” I am eating dinner. Kindly lower The Hand.
A few housekeeping notes:
- We just launched the completely updated ThatKEVINShow.com — one home for the videos, podcast, columns, That Passport Life, contests and newsletters. Take a look around.
- Two sweepstakes are open now: a Caribbean trip aboard The Uprising Freedom Voyage, or the Terrific Talkers VIP Experience in New York City. Enter both — why not.
On the big weekend TV show, Sara Bareilles joins us for the first time in the Music Spotlight, plus sketch comedy and a look at the week’s most important issues — the TV edition of That KEVIN Show, airing on Salem News Channel and BizTV.
Thank you for reading, watching, listening — and now, singing along.
That KEVIN
