This year's women's event is doing something it has never done before — and you are going to want a seat in the room.
What happens when a women's event trades in the keynote speaker for a comedian? You get For the Joy, an evening that is equal parts holy and hilarious, and exactly what your soul has been waiting for.
On Thursday, May 8th, women are invited to gather at Kettering Baptist Church in Upper Marlboro, Maryland for a one-of-a-kind night featuring dinner, praise and worship, fellowship, and a live comedy experience with Comedienne Tanya Lewis, known across the gospel entertainment world as the Doc of Comedy.
Tanya Lewis is not your average comedian. A two-time Church Stars Comedienne of the Year, Stellar Awards performer, author, and playwright, Tanya has built a reputation for bringing audiences to tears — the good kind — through comedy that is rooted in real faith and real life. Her performances don't just entertain. They heal.
The evening will include a seated dinner, a praise and worship set, a full comedy keynote from Tanya, and a ministry moment to close the night with intention. Whether you come with your church family, your best friend, or just yourself, there is a seat at this table with your name on it.
