Andrea Bocelli Sings 'Hallelujah' From Leonard Cohen

Check out this new music video of Andrea Bocelli singing the popular song ‘Hallelujah’ by Leonard Cohen. “I'd heard there was a secret chord that David played and it pleased the Lord But you don't really care for music, do you? Well, it goes like this The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall, the major lift, the baffled king composing Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah” “We are proud to present the fourth single ‘Hallelujah', which represents the messages of unity and hope that run through the core of Andrea Bocelli’s brand-new album, Believe, available to order now,” reads the caption on YouTube of this video. “Believe is a collection of uplifting songs that have inspired and sustained Andrea over the years.” The video starts off with showing the ocean lapping up on rocks next to the water. Then, Andrea Bocelli starts singing amongst the rocks as dancers dance around him. Later, Andrea Bocelli goes into a beautiful rock cathedral that is sitting on a cliff next to the ocean and is singing with lit candles all around him. What an incredibly beautiful video full of Andrea’s amazing voice! “Absolutely beautiful. I loved it when Leonard Cohen did it, but this was just incredible,” comments one person on YouTube after watching the video. “The switch in languages just made it even more beautiful. I love the dynamics as well. This arrangement has truly given new life to this beautiful song.” “This was so incredibly well done! What an amazing video to get my day started,” writes another person online. “Andrea has one of the most amazing voices on the planet. Everything he sings is nothing short of incredible! I could watch this over and over, and probably will.” We hope you enjoyed this video of Andrea Bocelli using his beautiful opera voice to sing a song that is a favorite to many.

Couple Married 60 Years Reunite After 215 Days Apart

A couple married 60 years reunite after 215 days apart, and their reunion is pure joy. Distance makes the heart grow fonder. Lovers hear this when something unfortunate happens taking the two people apart. Whether or not they will come back together is a mystery. Sometimes even married couples face this dilemma. What brought these two lovers apart? An argument? A family situation? None of the above. The culprit was one that is all too common these days--the coronavirus pandemic. At this point everyone has felt their own impact from the pandemic. For this particular couple, their desire to be with one another was put on hold for a very long time. Joseph and Eve Loreth are residents of the same assisted living facility in Brandon, Florida. They reside at the Rosecastle at Delaney Creek Assisted Living Facility. Despite living in the same building, due to health risks they were quarantined from one another for seven months. No married couple ever imagines being forced to spend even a single day from their companion, much less the better part of a year. Back in March, the couple was first separated from one another. Joseph underwent a significant surgery and rehabilitation that followed. With his health issues, the two lovers were not allowed to occupy the same room, not until he recovered. For 215 days they could not reestablish physical contact with one another. For a couple, lacking physicality can be hard. When that couple has been married 60 years, the loss of touch, which was once innate, cannot go unfelt. But in October, there was a turn of events for Joseph and Eve. A caretaker wheeled Joseph into a dining room where his wife completed a worksheet, initially unaware of his presence. When the camerawoman approached Eve she said, “Look, who is it.” Eve looked up curiously before peering over at her husband. Joseph’s eyes clenched so tightly with joy. “Oh my God!” Eve said rising slowly from the table. The two hugged one another and created a moment both to admire and appreciate. “I missed you,” she told her husband after a kiss to the forehead. “Oh, you’re alright. I love you so much,” he responded. The two lovebirds retold the story of how they met in high school during a visit to a skating rink. “She started chasing me around and she never quit,” he admitted. Eve smiled. Their love continues today. This time she waited on him to come to her. Not even sickness could prevent these two from rekindling their love. The coronavirus pandemic, the lockdowns, the political upheaval, have all put a strain on relationships. If you have experienced recent grief over the loss of a relationship, or the loss of something within your relationship, take heart. God has better plans in store for us. God is to be trusted, because he cares for us. When he brings you, or myself, a suitable match, or a renewal in your relationship, you will have a love that will withstand any attack from the enemy. Scripture says as much. But we have to put our faith in God. “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.” (Isaiah 54:17)

Crystal Gayle Sings A Medley Of Country Hits

Who doesn’t remember Crystal Gayle with a melodic and tuneful voice that could make the angels weep? Crystal Gayle sings a medley of country hits, and you won’t want to miss it! In this mashup video, the singer performs a variety of classic songs including, “Let Me Be There” by Olivia Newton John, “Don’t Come A-Drinkin,” by her sister, Loretta Lynn, and her version of “I’ll Get Over You.” The music clip opens with Gayle standing on a multi-level stage lit with lights. She walks out in a simple white dress with her famously long hair free and flowing down her back. With nothing but her microphone, she wows the audience with her array of songs, some of which the audience even sings along to. Crystal Gayle was actually born Brenda Gail Webb in 1951. She was an American country singer and songwriter and began her musical career with her sister Loretta Lynn who helped her sign a recording contract with Decca Records in 1970. Because her music was considered “middle-of-the-road” she crossed the lines between pop and country and was one of the most successful crossover artists of her time. Her biggest hits included "Ready for the Times to Get Better" (1977), "Talking in Your Sleep" (1978), "Half the Way" (1979) and "You and I" (1982.) Gayle has won one Grammy Award and has been nominated for several others since the 1970s. She has also won five Academy of Country Music awards; those awards include receiving the Cliffie Stone Pioneer Award in 2016. Watch the video and see for yourself why the talented star was so beloved. Even the comments about the video are proof of her talent. One commenter said, “Pure talent. So interesting to witness her from the beginning and see a great talent to start with becoming ever-more greater. [sic] She is one of the most relaxed and natural of artists, vocally perfect.” And another said, “Your voice is special. Just by hearing it I can know it's you, even if I haven't heard some of your songs, still I can distinguish it. That means you are original!” Lift up a song, strike the tambourine, play the sweet-sounding harp and lyre. Psalm 81:2

'Dooley' The Darlings Perform On The Andy Griffith Show

The Darlings perform their hit ‘Dooley’ on The Andy Griffith Show, and this one will take you all the way back to Mayberry! One of the most beloved comedy series of all time is The Andy Griffith Show. It ran for eight seasons starting in 1960. The show depicted the mostly serene goings-on in the fictional small town of Mayberry and in the lives of its sheriff, Andy Taylor, his son, their aunt, and the sheriff’s bumbling deputy, Barney Fife. Yet, it was episode eighty-eight that made a musical hit when The Darlings performed the song “Dooley.” However, the band known on the show as The Darlings were actually The Dillards, an already established bluegrass band formed by Douglas Dillard, Rodney Dillard, Dean Webb, and Mitchell Franklin. In this episode, the sheriff visits the Darling family in their home. Briscoe Darling, played by Denver Pyle, asks the sheriff if he brought his guitar. Of course, the sheriff didn’t think there was time to play music but Briscoe thought otherwise when he said, “Well, you got time to breathe, you got time for music,” before handing him a guitar. Briscoe counts down and leads the impromptu music session with his whiskey jug and as his son begins to sing. Dooley was a good ole man, he lived below the mill Dooley had two daughters, and a forty-gallon still The Darlings added additional depth and character to the show as they were known to live in a mountain shack somewhere in the mountains neighboring Mayberry. They were a good-natured but trouble-making clan, and they only came into town to bug the sheriff when they had a problem they couldn’t resolve. However, the family formed a really talented bluegrass band. Briscoe was the widowed father of five grown children (four sons and one daughter) who all lived together, and each had a different musical talent. Watch the impromptu music jam session for yourself and share with a friend who needs a lift! Lift up a song, strike the tambourine, play the sweet-sounding harp and lyre. Psalm 81:2

Chick-Fil-A Christmas Short Lights A Spark In Our Hearts

It’s that time of year again! Time for those Christmas advertisements that just make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Check out this new Christmas short from Chick-fil-A that is sure to light a spark in your heart! “One year after her trip to The Time Shop, Sam’s back! This year, things are a little different and the town can’t seem to get their lights working,” writes Chick-fil-A on their YouTube page. “Now it’s up to her to find a way to be the spark to light up her town in time for the holidays.” At the beginning of the video, Sam rushes with her family to the town square and is excited to see all the Christmas lights. But things look different than what she anticipated. “Where is everyone? Why aren’t the lights on?” she says as she looks up at the tall Christmas tree in the middle of the square. “I don’t know, Sam,” says her mom. “Seems like everything’s off this year.” That’s when Sam talks to the nearby electrician and asks him what he thinks may be wrong with the Christmas lights. “Got me. Nothing’s working,” he says. “Hey, mind flipping that switch for me?” She switches it but it doesn’t work, so she tries again. “Third times a charm,” the man says. And when Sam flips it one last time, she is transported to a place called “Switch Works” that is covered in lights! Sam meets a woman there who explains where she is, and Sam confides in her that she wishes there was a switch that she could use that would fix her town. “There is no switch for that,” the woman says. “But all people need is a little hope, a spark, to light the way. And that can be in all of us.” Sam then finds herself back in the middle of her town, and she learns how to be the spark that lights up everything around her. “Spark hope and light the way this season,” reads the banner from Chick-fil-A at the end of the video. What a sweet Christmas short that leaves us all with a great reminder! We are called to be God’s light and share His goodness and hope with the rest of the world!

Andrea Bocelli And Alison Krauss Sing 'Amazing Grace' On GMA

World-renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli and country music singer Alison Krauss perform a duet of ‘Amazing Grace’ on Good Morning America. John Newton is the author of this beloved hymn. John wrote the hymn as a way of giving thanks to the Lord after God granted him new life. As a sailor, John was known for his crude language and actions. But one day at sea, John found himself caught in the middle of a terrible storm. After spending hours at the helm of the ship, John’s thoughts started to turn to God. After surviving the weather, John started his life as a Christian and dedicated himself to serving the Lord. The beautiful words of ‘Amazing Grace’ were inspired by this incredible moment of self-revelation. “Amazing Grace, How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me I once was lost, but now am found T'was blind but now I see” Today, Andrea Bocelli and Alison Krauss are coming together virtually for a stunning rendition of ‘Amazing Grace’ on Good Morning America. Both artists are legends in their respective music genres and this duet is a beautiful compilation of these powerhouse vocalists. “T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear And Grace, my fears relieved How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed” Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

Emmylou Harris Moved To Tears After Band Performs Tribute Song

Country singer Emmylou Harris was moved to tears after the band ‘First Aid Kit’ performs a touching tribute song. Like millions of other fans, many discovered their love for Emmylou Harris’ music at a young age. After all, she is an iconic legend when it comes to country music. So much so, sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg of the Swedish duo, First Aid Kit stood up to tell their story of how they fell in love with her music in their early teens. “It was quite the musical revelation for us. We were so inspired that we wrote this song which is about the joy and the magic of singing together with someone that you love,” Johanna Soderberg said. What the band didn’t expect was that Emmylou would be sitting in the audience! Would you be able to sing or even speak if you found out that one of your icons was sitting in the room? These two weren’t sure. But, the pair hit every note perfectly revealing a whimsey and beautiful love song: I'll be your Emmylou and I'll be your June If you'll be my Gram and my Johnny too No, I'm not asking much of you Just sing, little darling, sing with me The song references Emmylou’s romance with Gram who died in 1973. It also references the iconic romance of legendary Johnny Cash’s and his wife June Carter Cash. What happens next is so sweet and tender. The 71-year-old music legend was caught on camera with tears streaming down her cheeks. She quickly removed her glasses and wiped her tears with a tissue as quickly as each tear fell. When the audience thundered in applause, Emmylou raised her hands to clap above her head. It’s no wonder the First Aid Kit duo honored her. She has become one of music’s most revered voices, releasing close to thirty albums and collaborating with everyone from Dolly Parton to Bright Eyes across her 50-year career. These young ladies embodied the words of 1 Timothy 5:17, “ Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine.”
