Breaking The Cuiltural Grip By Winfred Feiton

Breaking The Cuiltural Grip By Winfred Feiton
Oak Grove Christian Church Revival Morning Service Day 1

What were you doing 15 years ago?

The Daily Pulse (Monday, October 6, 2014): “This is what the Lord says—Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God. Isaiah 44:6 (NIV)

Do it anyway

Hello!!!
After a week off we are back with a new sermon!!!
We hope you enjoy!!!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

The Daily Pulse (Sunday, October 5, 2014): They do not say to themselves, ‘Let us fear the Lord our God, who gives autumn and spring rains in season, who assures us of the regular weeks of harvest.’ Jeremiah 5:24 (NIV)

…but there were doubts along the way

The Daily Pulse (Saturday, October 4, 2014): If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind... James 1:5-8 (NIV)

The choice really is one or the other: God's way or my way

The Daily Pulse (Friday, October 3, 2014): As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. Psalm 18:30 (NIV)

Bible Bible Bible

Did you know that the message of man's fall and redemption is emblazoned across the sky every cloudless night? Psalm 19 brilliantly parallels the celestial message and the written message, pointing, of course, to JESUS, the "Sun" of God and the "Son" of God. Only one part of the Bible is missing up above, and YOU are called to be God's luminary to make it known on earth. Shine on!

(29) TEACHING - A Walk Through The Book Of Romans

9-30-14 This week we continued our verse by verse walk through the entire epistle of Romans. This twenty-ninth session we concluded looking at chapter 8 (verses 29-39). In this session we looked specifically at the issue of predestination as it relates to the Lord's foreknowledge as well as the wonderful and amazing love of our God! God knew me before I knew Him and yet He loved me. This is a powerful and inspirational study!

It's like jumping into ice-cold water…

The Daily Pulse (Wednesday, October 1, 2014): Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62 (NIV)

Being Jesus

The Daily Pulse (Tuesday, September 30, 2014): ... Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” ... John 18:33-37 (NIV)

Undiscovered Land

God has placed a landmass within each of us that we ourselves have to sojourn in and discover. It's known as the Undiscovered Land within.

Being Barnabas

The Daily Pulse (Monday, February, 2014): Joseph, a Levite from Cyprus, whom the apostles called Barnabas (which means “son of encouragement”), sold a field he owned and brought the money and put it at the apostles’ feet. Acts 4:32-37 (NIV)

Why Pray

Christ has given us a comparison of two people; Pharisee and the publican.

It is not just about what you do.. It's about what is in you heart. Prayer is our opportunity to get help from God. Your pray is not design to make you look good, or better than anyone else.
WHY: pray, reading the bible, asking those that understand the scriptures to explain it....

When you pray you have to pray the right way. When we pray we are asking God to help us with those lusts that we have in our flesh... When we get Gods spirit he gives us that peace.

God uses us as a testimony, when you pray and you come thru the tough and trying times. Have your heart broken, pray the right way.

Luke 18:9-14
And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Beaten But Singing

Acts 16 contains a classic account of the spiritual battle in which we still live, and is loaded with principles about how to persevere and prevail, for the benefit of those who want the truth of God's wonderful Word. This is a lot better than watching TV!

Being Daniel

The Daily Pulse (Sunday, September 28, 2014): ... Daniel replied, “No wise man, enchanter, magician or diviner can explain to the king the mystery he has asked about, 28 but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries. ... Daniel 2:24-28 (NIV)

Being Mary Magdalene

The Daily Pulse (Saturday, September 27, 2014): Then the disciples went back to where they were staying. Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb. John 20:10-11 (NIV)
