What Does it Mean to Believe on the LORD Jesus Christ? - Pastor David

It is certainly true that Christ Himself must be the object of our faith (Acts 16:31), but Paul makes it abundantly clear that we must believe something ABOUT Christ in order to be saved. That is, faith in Christ includes believing correctly about His PERSON and His WORK. And to believe means: that upon which a man or woman is prepared to act. Or to put it more simply: believe is to accept as true, to accept as real!

Spiritual Combat, part 3: INDIRECT Warriors - Pastor David

Pay attention, Children of God, members of the Body of Christ, do NOT fight evil spirits DIRECTLY but fight them INDIRECTLY by focusing on The LORD Jesus Christ who has the power to directly confront them. God, through his angels has the power to directly confront evil spirits in all their set-up places: occult world, spirit world, strong holds, and territories. Thus victory comes by fulfilling our expected indirect responsibilities, and not by our direct confrontation with evil spirits. Indirect confrontation is our responsibility. Direct confrontation is God’s. Children of God, members of the Body of Christ are not, in THIS life in the flesh, entitled to rule over fallen angels and demons in their various ranks. Spiritual Combat, part 2: Understanding the Boundaries of Our Authority - Pastor David

Understanding the boundaries of our given spiritual authority is a very important matter...otherwise we risk going outside of those boundaries and face regretful counter-attacks that could have been avoided. Spiritual Combat, part 1: The Disinformation of Satan - Pastor David

Always keep in mind, Satan puts out his own dis-information on how to conduct yourself in supernatural combat against HIM! That’s right. Satan, (and his "associates"), wants to be “fought” how he wants to be fought. This way he knows that YOU, as a member of the Body of Christ, will lose these battles each and every time. The supernatural combat teaching of direct confrontation with Satan IS the dis-information I am speaking of. Pastor Jon Dunbar: "Resurrection Suffering"

On this Good Shepherd Sunday, Peter describes the Christian's journey through this life as a kind of pilgrimage. We need a guide for that journey and our Good Shepherd is the one who will lead us. One reality that we struggle to make sense of is the suffering that goes on in the world...and when it is encountered, we have to remember that suffering is an "example" that God provides us so that we remember Christ's suffering for our sins and dying on the cross. There will be times when we lose our way and we WILL sin- so we will suffer the consequences of our sins and continue following our Shepherd because he will lead, guide, and keep us in line until we are safely home with our Heavenly Father.
