The Rest mentioned in Hebrews speaks of ceasing from our own works through faith in His promises. We need to walk in that rest and in that peace so that we are not condemned of the devil, separated from the faith of God, separated from the things that God wants to do through us.

If you have unbelief, you will be disobedient and one reason is you cannot cease from your own works when you don’t believe God’s already done it. You always want to help Him out or you get your eyes on the world and on your problems. You fall victim to fear and doubt and discouragement, and all those things that happen when people live by what they see with their physical eyes, rather than what they see in the Bible.

If we keep our eyes on the Son, the Lord Jesus, on the Word of God, on the promises, we will enter into the rest, which is ceasing from our works. If not, then we’re going to be looking at the problems in the world and we’re going to be forced through fear, doubt and unbelief to align with the world, which is not sanctification. If we get our eyes on Jesus, then we can walk out from the world.

Ever since the New Testament was written, there has been an
ongoing debate among Christians and their church denominations about the timing of the rapture.

Most Christians agree that the rapture and resurrection happen
together. “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout …and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we that are alive, that are left, shall together with them be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air” (1Th.4:16).

If it is true that the Rapture happens at the beginning of the Tribulation, it would mean that the faithful Christians who are prophesied in the book of Revelation to be killed by the “beast” during the Tribulation period (not to mention those who are finally converted to Christianity during the Tribulation) cannot be saved because there is only one resurrection of the righteous dead mentioned in the Bible (Revelation 20:4; 1 Corinthians 15:22-24).

Most of you are looking in the wrong direction. You’re looking forward, you’re praying, “Provide this, provide that, meet this need, heal me, deliver me.” God says, “Read the Word. You will find that I already did that.”

Jesus taught that we must believe everything we pray for in order to receive in the physical realm. (Mar.11:24) Therefore I say unto you, All things whatsoever ye pray and ask for, believe that ye receive them, an ye shall have them.
