Video Captures The Moment 5 Boys Are Rescued From NYC Sewers

The beautiful and incredibly youthful Deborah Norville introduces the story and video that captures the moment 5 boys were rescued from New York City sewers, and, while Ms. Norvelle doesn’t seem to age a bit, no doubt there were several parents who lost years during the frightening ordeal!

Five 6th-grade boys entered the Staten Island underground sewer system to explore. That doesn’t sound at all worrisome! Though this batch of boys probably isn’t familiar with the 1985 movie The Goonies, the reporter reminds us that their trek through the city’s tunnels is reminiscent of the Goonies gang’s crazy adventure.

With only the light from a cell phone, the boys explored the tunnels. But, suddenly they became lost and unable to find their way out of the sewer. Remarkably, one of the boys got a signal and called 911 from his phone.

Once connected with emergency assistance, a city official with knowledge of the sewer system got on the line. While the boy on the call sounds fairly calm, Jovanny shares that the experience of being stuck underground was “very scary and very, like, confusing.” He, along with Cory and Declan, share their story on video, but the other two boys may be on house arrest!

The man on the line asks the boys which direction they turned and how far they walked; he’s trying to figure out their location. At any time, the cell signal might have been lost or the phone’s battery might have died. As searchers hunt for the boys in the tunnels, the city employee tells the boys to yell for help and scream as loud as they want. The rescuers need to hear them.

The video shows the moment when emergency personnel find the boys. What a wonderful relief!

The friends say they learned a lesson—“not to climb into sewers.” Hopefully, that lesson will be remembered in similar situations as well. Don’t go into a blizzard on foot. Don’t taunt an unfamiliar dog. Declan’s dad, Andrew Gannon, says that the friends were very shaken up but otherwise fine.

The boys may not agree. Deborah closed by letting viewers know that Cory, Declan, and Jovanny all are grounded!

Aunt Is Overcome With Emotion After Seeing Nephew's Special Painting

Children have creative little minds, and with the right direction, we can help them find their God-given talent.

A little boy, Lenny McNaughton knew exactly what to do with his gift, and it stunned everyone. His aunt was overcome with emotion after seeing her nephew’s special painting.

She was overwhelmed, and she commented, “He chose me as his subject. This is something I will treasure forever.” She added, “I’m not normally speechless, and I am speechless.”

Lenny joined the Archibold competition, which is known for its prestigiousness in Australia. The only rule for children participating in the competition was to do a portrait of a person who they valued in their lives. Lenny chose his Aunt Steph but opted to surprise her at the gallery event. She had no idea.

Aunt Steph meant the world to Lenny, and he couldn’t wait to show her. When Steph walked through the gallery and saw the portrait, she felt both honor and humility. She deeply appreciated her nephew had used her favorite flowers in the portrait.

She said, “He chose me as his subject, and that is something I will always cherish.” It’s the little things that add value to our relationships. We have no idea what kind of influence we have in the lives of others.

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace” 1 Peter 4:10

General Hospital Star Maurice Benard Cries During Surprise Reunion With Daughter

Tamron Hall touched on about ten different fun and interesting things during this interview with General Hospital star Maurice Benard, who cried during a surprise reunion with his daughter. Her chat with the actor will cause you to see Sonny Corinthos in an entirely new light!

Starting from the top, did you know that General Hospital has now been on the air for 60 years? The show debuted on April 1, 1963, and that makes it the longest-running American soap opera still in production, according to Guinness World Records

60-year-old Maurice Benard has been with GH for thirty of those years, beginning his tenure in August 1993. That’s quite a reign for both a television show and an actor!

The actor has won three Daytime Emmy awards for his portrayal of Sonny, a mob boss with bipolar disorder. Sonny is a bad guy, described by Soaps as “violent” and “volatile.” What’s more, the actor himself has bipolar.

Maurice explains to Tamron that being bipolar and playing a person with bipolar disorder has been challenging, sometimes taking a toll on him emotionally. Diagnosed at the age of 22, Maurice has been sharing his struggles for many years—even knowing that might have compromised his acting career. March 30th was World Bipolar Day.

Tamron goes to break, but there is so much more to follow. When she returns, we see clips and photos of Maurice’s adorable 3-year-old granddaughter and his 28-year-old daughter Cailee. Maurice and his wife, Paula, have four children in all. One of their three girls came into their family through adoption.

Heather Andreson is Paula’s half-sister. Maurice and Paula adopted Heather in 2008 when she was 15, and her mother died unexpectedly. She became the oldest child in a family of six. Tamron tells Maurice that she is there to see him; they haven’t seen one another since October 2022, and he’s never seen his daughter in uniform. She’s a member of the U.S. Air Force!

Maurice is visibly moved when Heather joins him on the couch. He comments on how proud he is of Heather, and he shares a story about the moment when his daughter asked Paula if she could call her “mom.” Tamron is tearing up, too!

Host Hall closes the segment by saying, “We just wanted to share this moment because you are a remarkable person, not only an actor that we've fallen in love with for over 30 years but a good soul, a good human.” She gives a shout-out to Maurice and Paula’s other two adult kids, Cassidy (23) and Joshua (18).

Viewers may love to hate Sonny Corinthos, but they’ve got to love Maurice Benard. He may play a tough guy on TV, but he’s got a heart of gold in real life!

"So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”” Romans 8:15

Amazon Delivery Driver Saves Woman Who Fell Down Her Stairs

A man out doing his job sprang into action and helped rescue a woman who was in distress.

The world can be a dark, awful and dangerous place. Individuals are capable of evil, inflicting pain upon one another often for no apparent reason. However, there are little beacons of light, of goodness that help to remind us that not all is lost. Everyone is not out to cause grief and destruction.

Kellen Georger is one of those examples of a loving, kind and caring individual. Kellen is an Amazon delivery driver who was doing his job when he came across Diane Georgelos.

Diane, as she explains in the clip posted on YouTube, was carrying groceries into her home when she fell. Diane took quite the stumble, falling down a flight of stairs and hit several parts of her body, including her head.

“And when I turned, I just literally flew over, hit my side into the wall of the garage,” she said. “Hit my back, part of my head.”

The clip also points out that Diane did not have her cell phone on her. To make matters worse, there was no one else around when Diane fell.

However, God sent Kellen Diane’s way. He was delivering her Amazon packages when he found her on the ground.

Diane said Kellen asked her how he could help her. Then he acted, providing her with much-needed assistance. He picked her up, took her inside and bandaged her foot. He also called 911.

Kellen went even one step further and put away her groceries.

“I didn’t want to leave her unattended,” Kellen said. “So, as soon as I heard the sirens, I knew it was all good and I could go.”

Diane called Kellen a “God send" for everything he did to for her during her time of need

What a terrific example of love and kindness!

‘Rock Around The Clock’ Boogie Woogie Dance Goes Viral

One couple has garnered a ton of attention for their dazzling moves on the dance floor.

Dance requires a fair amount of talent, dedication and coordination in order to be successful. However, add another person to the mix and the difficulty level increases considerably. Every dance move has to be coordinated and timed perfectly, or disaster awaits. Boogie woogie is a high-energy, upbeat type of dancing, which is similar to swing dance, and involves two people who essentially move as one.

In a clip posted to YouTube, one couple, Sondre and Tanya, put their impressive dance moves on full display while performing a boogie-woogie dance to Bill Haley and His Comets’ hit “Rock Around the Clock.”

Not only is their dancing extremely upbeat and high energy, requiring tons of movement, but even some gymnastics moves are involved. The couple twist, turn and twirl one another in every direction imaginable. Then around the 35-second mark in the clip, they both start picking up speed considerably. Sondre eventually ducks, throwing Tanya over his shoulder!

She lands flat on her feet to a collective cheer from the adoring crowd who have circled around them and are watching with great anticipation and amazement. The talented couple doesn’t miss a beat as they continue with their spectacular dance exhibition.

Just before the 1-minute mark, Sondre shows off his unbelievable and extreme flexibility as he does the splits. He then hops several times while remaining in a split position.

At the conclusion of their dance, the crowd lets out a collective cheer and gives the couple a well-deserved round of applause.

The clip of their astounding dance number has been watched more than 2.4 million times!

Their dance number is a sight to behold. Sondre and Tanya are beyond-gifted dancers who have won several competitions all over the world, according to their YouTube channel.

Psalm 149:3 “Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises to him with the tambourine and harp.”

Kind Man Spends A Year Earning Dog’s Trust In The Desert

Through continual acts of kindness over several months, one man won over a stray dog and helped improve the lives of other animals.

Dogs are special creatures. They are kind, loving and loyal companions. However, dogs are also smart enough to remain cautious, understanding the inherent danger in unknown situations and people.

When one man drove through a desert in southern California during the peak of the summer season, he encountered two stray dogs. The feral animals were in the desert, living in temperatures in excess of 100 degrees, without food and water.

The man rectified that situation. He created feeding troughs for them, filling them with food and water for the dogs. The man made giving the animals food and water a part of his routine.

“I ended up going every other day,” he said.

However, one animal, Persephone, soon recognized the man and his truck. The dog began meeting his truck, near the entrance of the desert and would run alongside it.

Both animals were overjoyed with the man’s presence. In the video, both dogs jump around wildly, waiting for the kind man to supply them with food and water. But both would still wait until the man backed away several feet before consuming any food or water.

Over time, Persephone began eating out of the man’s hand, but she was still cautious and uneasy about the guy supplying her with food and water. She wouldn’t let him pet her.

Then about seven months in, Persephone eventually relented and let the man pet her. From that point forward, Persephone began displaying more affection and trust, even rolling over and letting him rub her belly.

Then, as the video points out, about three weeks later, the other stray dog let the man pet him as well. Then the man reached out for help and concocted a plan to trap the wild animals and find the stray dogs foster homes.

The kind man took Persephone home and she has adjusted nicely to her new surroundings. She has become a lap dog, loving on her new owner.

“Yeah, she’s 100 percent,” he said. “She’s a cutie. She’s a little lap dog. She’s definitely a special one for me.”

Not only has Persephone found a new home, but six other dogs once living in the desert now have owners.

Proverbs 12:10 “A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.”

Wife Nearly Loses Her Life, Filming Tornado, Until Husband Saves The Day

Check out this video of a wife nearly losing her life while trying to film a tornado until her husband steps in and saves the day.

Kimberly and Jimmy Shaw were at a dental office in Little Rock, Arkansas, when a tornado hit down right next to them. Kimberly wanted to get a recording of the video, but she quickly found out that that was not the best or safest idea.

Her husband, Jimmy, tried to keep the doors of the building shut, but the forceful winds would not let that happen. The strong winds from the tornado ended up sucking Kimberly out of the building, and her husband had to grab her to keep her from flying away. What a terrifying ordeal!

“The windows blew out, and when it did, it sucked me out the door,” said Kimberly.

“I just grabbed her arm and sat there and held her,” shared Jimmy Shaw.

Jimmy was able to brace himself against the door frame while Kimberly held onto his arms for dear life. And this was all happening while knife-sharp debris was flying around them, which left Jimmy with deep gashes all over his arms.

“He saved my life,” said Kimberly. “If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here today.”

Now Kimberly knows not to try and record tornadoes while they are happening but instead will go and seek shelter if she finds herself in another similar situation.

“Just stay safe. Don’t be dumb like me and try to videotape something that is gonna cost you your life,” Kimberly says as a warning to others.

Thankfully Jimmy was there to save his wife during the scary incident!

Ephesians 5:28-30
“Even so, husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no man ever hates his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, as Christ does the church, because we are members of his body.”

91-Year-Old Grandma Teaches High Schoolers The Charleston

If you need to be refreshed that age is just a number, then this video is for you. In this clip, a 91-year-old grandma teaches high schoolers the Charleston.

Do you ever feel like this next generation has not learned the classic dance styles of years past? This grandma took action by teaching an important part of history. "The Latin Lady” is a substitute for teaching and schooling the students in more ways than one.

As the students are smiling and filming this amazing moment, we witness “The Latin Lady” not only dancing but performing. She appears to have a background in dance. Her confidence is clear. She is not worried about breaking a hip but rather busting a move. She is fun and spunky. She is lively and graceful.

This woman made these students' day. Her kicks are beautifully done, and her side shuffles have so much character and precision. It is a blast. She is an incredible dancer for any age.

We can all learn something from “The Latin Lady” substitute teacher. Life is meant to be lived to the fullest. We are never too old for fun, and investing in the next generation is a call for every believer. She has answered that calling through education, but more importantly, sharing her heart with them.

She inspires us to ask the question, “How am I leaving an impact on those coming after me?” Viewing this short clip will give you a boost in hope that young people are listening and watching and we all have a purpose and are gifted to use our talents.

Henry Winkler Brings Kelly Clarkson To Tears With Message To Her Daughter

A legendary Hollywood actor shared some touching words of wisdom that moved one of the biggest names in music to tears.

As most people know, children can be incredibly mean to one another. Kids have a knack for figuring out an area of great sensitivity and then go on to attack it relentlessly. This can make life miserable for the children on the receiving end of such treatment.

On an episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show”, Henry Winkler, best known as Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli on “Happy Days”, was the guest. Kelly and Henry were discussing his many current projects, and the subject of dyslexia came up.

Kelly admitted that her daughter, River, is dyslexic and has been receiving trouble from her fellow classmates because of it. Kelly’s daughter, who is in the second grade, has been getting bullied at school.

Kelly pointed out that Henry is dyslexic as well but has not let it stop him from achieving great things in life, including writing books.

“I find it amazing to tell my daughter that you’ve written, like, 40 books and you’re dyslexic,” she said. “’Cause she was getting bullied, like, at school for not being able to read like the other kids.”

Later in the segment, Henry turned to the camera and gave Kelly’s young daughter an uplifting and heartfelt message.

“River, I got it. All right, how you learn has nothing to do with how brilliant you are,” he said.

While the audience gave Henry a hearty round of applause, Kelly grabbed a tissue. She was moved to tears by Henry’s touching and sweet words of encouragement for her daughter.

Henry’s simple and kind gesture is likely something that Kelly and River will remember for a long time. As the saying goes, it costs nothing to be nice.

Dad Saves 8-Month-Old From Choking By Remembering Training From 20 Years Ago

One father stepped in to save the day and rescued his child with skills and knowledge he had acquired decades earlier.

Children are precious gifts from God. They are entirely dependent on the love, kindness and care of others. In addition to needing constant care, infants and toddlers must be closely monitored because, as all parents know, they are liable to put anything and everything in their mouths. Choking is a real and constant worry when it comes to little children.

As one clip posted to YouTube shows, a father had to step in and act when his 8-month-old daughter began choking on a carrot. However, in those frantic moments of fear and horror, Dad instinctively knew exactly what to do.

In the clip, Ryan Diroma is playing basketball in his driveway when his wife screams, “Ryan, she’s choking.” Ryan immediately drops the basketball and rushes inside to his daughter, Blake, who was in his wife’s arms, choking on a carrot.

Moments later, three loud and separate noises are heard. They were Ryan forcefully hitting his daughter’s back, trying to free the carrot from Blake’s throat.

Thankfully, Ryan’s efforts were successful, and the carrot was dislodged, filling Mom and Dad with relief.

Ryan, in an interview, mentioned that he knew how to save his daughter's life because of what he learned 20 years ago.

“Twenty years ago, I used to be a lifeguard at a waterpark in my hometown,” Ryan said. “And I remembered, there was this picture of how you are supposed to hold a baby at a downward incline if they’re choking.”

He later added that he had never thought about that picture at his part-time job two decades ago until he had to save baby Blake’s life.

Matthew 18:10 “Take heed that you despise not one of these little ones; for I say to you, that in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.”
