King David Hears Psalm 77 In Powerful Clip From 'The Chosen'

When we feel discouraged, we turn to the Good Book and pray for God’s comfort. This passage was brought to life when King David hears Psalm 77 in a powerful clip from season three of ‘The Chosen.’

In a powerful wrap-up of Season Three of the hit show, King David is seated on his throne as he hears the Psalm of Asaph. As the words are read aloud to music, the show highlights the triumphs and the struggles many characters on the show face.

In a beautiful and moving way, the Psalm reveals how God is with us through the good and the bad. It reveals God’s character, strength, sovereignty, love, and grace for those who love him. It makes the words of the Psalm come alive. As the Psalm progresses, the writer remembers God’s “wonderful deeds of long ago. He’s reminded of the great things God did in the past, including the deliverance of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt.

This beautiful Psalm begins with the writer in distress and heartbreak until we see him exchange his despair for praise, beginning in verse 14: "You are the God of great wonders!" The Psalm then ends not in celebration but focused on God’s faithfulness to those who love him in a statement of remembrance:

Yet, Psalm 77 ends not with a celebration of God's faithfulness or with a statement of confidence in him, but simply with a statement of remembrance: "You led your people along that road like a flock of sheep, with Moses and Aaron as their shepherds.”

This Psalm is an example of our humanity. From the author of the Pslam to King David, and even our own experiences–Psalm 77 reflects our emotions, our struggles, and why faith is vital in hard times.

“I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds,” Psalm 77:11-12

Tear-Filled Harrison Ford Receives 5-Minute Standing Ovation

One Hollywood legend was moved to tears following the premiere of his latest film.

Harrison Ford is an icon in the entertainment world. He has appeared in several beloved films throughout his decades-long and very successful career. He was Han Solo in the always-popular “Star Wars” films, was in the science fiction classic “Blade Runner” and even had a turn as brainy CIA analyst Jack Ryan in a couple of flicks. But his most memorable character and role by far is as the incomparable and whip-cracking Dr. Indiana Jones.

In “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” Ford says goodbye to the character he first brought to the screen over 40 years ago. This film will be his last go around as the world-renowned archeologist who always seems to get into trouble.

The last Indiana Jones film starring Harrison Ford recently premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in France. After the conclusion of the film, Harrison was treated to a warm and loving reception by his peers. They gave him a rousing and heartfelt 5-minute standing ovation, according to Today.

The audience's applause for Harrison hit him square in the heart, causing him to react emotionally. As a video posted on social media shows, Harrison began tearing up, his eyes noticeably red.

With tears welling up in his eyes, Harrison blows a kiss to someone in the balcony and gives them a thumbs up. He then turns and acknowledges the standing ovation, giving a wave to the crowd.

It’s nice to see that Harrison playing Indiana Jones has meant as much or more to him than the people who love the film franchise.

The Oscar-nominated actor has given audiences plenty of quality entertainment over the decades. But most can easily agree that Indiana Jones is his best and most beloved character and role.

Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.”

Quick-Thinking 7th Grader Grabs The Wheel When Bus Driver Passes Out

A child sprang into action, saved the day and kept many people safe when he grabbed the wheel of a school bus after the bus driver experienced a medical episode.

It has been said that “adversity does not build character, it reveals it.” If that’s the case Dillon Reeves, a 7th-grade student in Michigan, has a ton of character.

Dillon and his classmates were on the bus heading home after a day at school. It was just like every other average school day. But then things took a turn for the worse.

The clip posted on YouTube shows the woman driving the bus undergoing a medical episode. The driver can be seen using her hat to fan herself and then gets on the bus’s radio communication system and asks for help. However, she then passes out as she goes limp behind the wheel. Her head and body bounce with every hole and bump in the road.

The bus had started to head in the direction of oncoming traffic. That’s when Dillon stepped up and took charge. The video shows the young man grabbing the wheel and pressing slowly on the brake.

The young man was able to bring the school bus to a complete stop without any injuries!

“This was an extraordinary act of courage and maturity on his part,” Dr. Robert Livernois, the school's superintendent, said. “He had the wherewithal to push it slowly, likely in anticipation that the bus was full of passengers.”

Following the incident, Dillon’s mother, Ireta Reeves, was stunned by her son’s heroic actions. But she did have questions for the young man.

“I asked him, ‘Dillon, how did you know what to do? How did you know how to drive that bus?” she asked. “And he said, ‘I watch her do it every day.’”

Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous, don’t be afraid, nor be scared of them: for Yahweh your God, he it is who goes with you; he will not fail you, nor forsake you.”

Wantirna Sth Pt 2

Going through my life, still in Wantirna Sth between 6-14 years old and some of the trauma and stuff I went through......

10-Year-Old Hero Saves Little Sister From House Fire

Check out this story of a 10-year-old hero who saves her little sister from a terrifying house fire.

Roselin Castro is a 10-year-old from Iowa who recently experienced a traumatic event with her little sister.

“I went to go check the window. And then there were flames. I was terrified. I started crying and then told my sister to run out of the house quickly,” Roselin shared. “Our house was burning down; I was scared.”

After rushing her 7-year-old sister outside and away from the burning flames, the two girls flagged down a man who was walking his dog.

“We started screaming for help,” said Roselin. “People came, called 911, and called the ambulance.”

Mike Whitsell, the West Des Moines Fire Marshall, also shared his thoughts on the fire. “That fire was burning very intensely, and it was spreading rapidly,” he said. “So, for them to be able to get outside, get everybody outside without any injuries, we’re very fortunate. We’re very happy for that.”

Roselin’s mother was dropping off her 3-month-old baby and 4-year-old son at a daycare at the time of the fire, and when she got back home to see the flames, she was in complete shock. She was also terrified that her two daughters didn’t make it out of the house.

Thankfully, because of Roselin’s observant nature, the two girls made it out of the fire unharmed. The family’s dog was also saved, and firefighters were clear about how important it was that the little girls didn’t try to save the dog on their own.

The cause of the fire is still undetermined, but what is known is that the family has lost everything. They have no place to go.

A GoFundMe was set up to help the Castro family get back on their feet. And even though Roselin shared that all of their toys, shoes, and clothes are gone, they are just grateful to be alive. “The thing that’s more important is family, not other stuff,” the wise 10-year-old shares.

God bless this family with community and support during this trying time.

Veteran Pilot Helps Student Pilot Navigate Aircraft During Emergency Landing

Inside Edition’s Deborah Norville and Les Trent report on a veteran pilot who helped a student pilot navigate her plane during an emergency landing. The two pilots made an immediate connection and together worked through a dangerous situation!

Taylor Hash (21) was making just her third solo flight. She was preparing to land the aircraft when the nose gear fell from the plane and dropped to the runway. Though Taylor had no idea the piece had fallen off, one person on the ground saw it all.

Chris Yates, a veteran pilot and the former Director of Aviation for SpaceX, had just landed his plane on the airstrip in Pontiac, Michigan when the nose gear of Taylor’s single-engine plane “bounced and rolled down the runway.” Air traffic control immediately alerted Taylor.

We hear the conversation between the air traffic controller and Taylor. When the tower controller tells Taylor that her “entire front wheel assembly” is on the runway, Taylor responds calmly. Taylor tells Les Trent that she was just trying to figure out her options for landing safely.

The tower puts Chris on the phone with Taylor so that he can help guide her through the landing. He first asks her name, and then he shares that his own daughter is named Taylor. And, he taught her to fly when she was a little girl! Chris assures Taylor Hash that she’s going to be just fine. We can hear the fear and relief in her voice as she thanks him.

Chris goes on to talk with Taylor in a calming way, asking her if she wants to be a career pilot. He tells her that this will make a great story one day, and he calls her “kid.” His confidence, ease, and kindness help her stay focused as she lands the plane. She does so just as instructed, and Chris praises her performance, telling her he’s proud of her!

Taylor says that she will always stay in touch with Chris, and the two are making plans to meet in person and fly together soon. Chris was Taylor’s angel that day. He was right where he was supposed to be to offer the help and guidance that was needed. It’s funny how that works!

“God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.” Hebrews 6:10

Actor Playing Apostle On 'The Chosen' Shares Testimony Of Accepting Disability

Perhaps you have seen the Chosen series. It is a great and creative depiction of what it could have been like walking with Jesus in His days on earth. In this video clip, the actor playing an apostle on “The Chosen” shares his testimony of accepting his disability.

Jordan Walker Ross plays Little James in the tv show, The Chosen. He shares in this interview that the director asked him if Jesus could heal him, would he choose to be healed. The director inquired if Jordan could make his own disability as part of the story of the disciple that he was playing. Jordan tells of the vulnerability that took for him. He never shared his insecurities before.

He says that he was born prematurely and has cerebral palsy, scoliosis, and severe asthma. He had major surgeries growing up and then dealt with bullying at the lunch table. He shared about kids making fun of him and physically hurting him. He hid from them in between vending machines. He shares that he dealt with suicidal tendencies because of his battle.

Jordan expresses the great challenges. He shares that there have been people who he believes God has healed, but there are many whom the Lord has not healed here. Jordan shares plainly that it is not a matter of faith or of how obedient of a Christian you are to be healed on this earth. We see a dramatic scene where Little James asks Jesus why he has not healed him. We see the clip, and it hits home in a new kind of way knowing his real story.

Jordan shares that his insecurities are real, but he has come to an acceptance of not wanting to be healed because he has been entrusted with this limp to help encourage others and point them to Jesus.

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Psalm 139:14

Fisherman Spots Submerged Jeep And Is Stunned To Find Missing Woman Inside

Check out this story of a fisherman who spots a submerged Jeep in a lake and is stunned to find a missing woman alive inside.

Justin Pennington was fishing on Lake O’ The Pines outside Dallas, Texas, when he spotted a submerged vehicle in the water. Not something that you’d expect to see while on a fishing trip! He called the police, and once deputies arrived, they called a tow truck to retrieve the vehicle.

“I would’ve never thought anybody was in there because the windows were down. I assumed they probably got out and left it and were just gonna come back and get it the next day,” said Justin.

Once the tow truck operator arrived, Justin took him out on his boat to where the Jeep was in the lake. And you won’t believe what they found inside! Incredibly, there was a missing woman inside the vehicle who was still alive!

“She wasn’t saying anything, but she was conscious because she was moving,” shared Justin.

Justin and the tow truck operator hauled the woman onto the boat. She was then taken to a nearby hospital and treated for hypothermia.

“We don’t know how many hours she was actually in there, but it was long enough that you wouldn’t think somebody would still be alive after that,” Justin said.

The woman was reported missing two days prior, and it is not known how long she had been stuck submerged in the Jeep. Apparently, there was an air pocket inside the vehicle that kept her alive.

What an incredible story! We hope that the woman recovers after such a harrowing accident. And God bless Justin for finding her inside her car and saving her life. God sure had him at the right place at the right time in order for his fishing trip to turn into a heroic event.

Students Read Personal Letters of Encouragement Before State Exam

Students in one classroom in the Lone Star State were unexpectedly given loving words of encouragement prior to a test.

Whoever first said, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me,” couldn’t have been more wrong. Words most certainly do hurt, pierce and wound. On the other hand, a helpful and encouraging word can change the world and spur someone on to greatness.

One teacher in Texas understands the importance of words and how much they can either break one down or build someone up. In a video posted on TikTok, Chrishae Powell posted a video of students in her classroom opening and reading handwritten notes.

The notes were uplifting and were intended to help the students relax and perform their best on a mandatory state exam. Several of the students, with their letters in hand, look at the camera with big smiles.

In a follow-up video, Chrishae explained how she went about asking for the encouraging letters for the kids in her class from their parents.

“It was like two days before the test, I was like, ‘Hey, fill out this Google form, send an encouraging message to your child. I’ll write it, I’ll hand write it and then they will open it right before the test just to give them that boost of confidence from someone who loves them,’” she said.

She also mentioned what she did for those students whose parents may not have filled out and returned the form in time.

“So, in that case, I wrote those students letters,” she said.

What a terrific and caring teacher who understands the power that words hold.

Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider one another to provoke to love and to good works: not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much more, as you see the day approaching.”
