Hi, Dan Seaborn here. Thanks for joining me for today's Winning At Home moment. I've been sharing with you what Gordon MacDonald taught me about the different stages of life and I want to talk about being in the forties. He said in the forties you ask this question, "Am I happy with what I'm doing, and why didn't I do it better?" The forties is a period of reflection. We look back on what we've done so far and we think, "Wow! If I had gone a different direction that could have happened and that could have happened." We can second-guess ourselves a lot. Maybe our kids are hitting that age where it’s not so perfect. They aren't as easy to control as they were when they were in elementary school. It's life. And I challenge you in that stage, realize that you won't do it perfect. I sure didn't. And I think as we accept our flaws and realize it's through some of those flaws, we grow deeper. We push on through the forties and say, "Wow! We could do this." And you also are setting an example for your children. All that helps you win at home.
