Hi, Dan Seaborn here. Thanks for joining me for today’s Winning At Home Moment. Today I share the last thought in this little series from Gordon MacDonald on the stages of life. He said in our eighties, that final stage of life, we ask ourselves this question, “Is heaven really there?” I said, “What do you mean by that, Gordon?” because he’s around eighty-five. “What are you thinking right there?” He said, “Well, you just begin to ponder, ‘Is it really there?’” All of us at that point in our life will go, “Hmm…my life on this earth is over.” I’m one who believes in the afterlife. I believe in heaven. I believe that Christ is my savior. I never push that on other people. It’s my personal belief. But I challenge you to at least grapple with that thought. You say, “I’m not there yet!” No, but you will be. Grapple with the thought of what the eighties looks like for you. Where is your future? What have you done to prepare for that? It’s a big deal. And I think it’s important to reflect on that because I think in doing so you care for yourself and the people coming behind you. So, therefore, you’re winning at home.
