American singer-songwriter Ella Langley is known for her unique blend of country, modern-rock, and traditional storytelling. At just 27 years old, the Alabama native has been awarded a record seven awards at this past year’s 2026 ACM Awards. Recently, however, it’s her faith, far more than her talent, that’s drawing audiences in.

During her ACM address, Langley boldly thanked Jesus for her music career and getting this far in her journey: "Thank you, Jesus, for letting me do this for a living…thank you," Langley said, holding back tears. Beyond ACM, however, Langley was also spotted crediting the Lord at the 2026 iHeart Radio Music Awards, noting that “Jesus put this passion on her heart.”

While Langely’s faith has surprised some, those who truly know her haven’t been surprised in the least. Langley grew up in Southern Baptist churches singing hymns as a child. Sharing her heritage, Langely gave credit where she believes credit is due:

"I grew up in a Southern Baptist church, and we started off every sermon by saying, 'God is good. And all the time, God is good.' God has been nothing but good to me. Nothing but good to me. And every time I thought, 'Why? Why this? Why them? Why not me? Why didn't this work out? This job that I wanted, this show that I wanted. This person that I wanted. Why didn't that work out for me?' And I spent so long fighting that. I think I spend every day trying not to fight that still … Hindsight is 20/20. And God has a plan," Langley said encouragingly.

Langley’s music might not be explicitly Christian, but her bold declaration of faith in the secular industry is refreshing. According to Religion Unplugged, Langley has become the second woman to chart two titles in the top 10 of the Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs simultaneously.
